While thinking of a victory

Tomorrow, as is customary, russia will be doing their annual parade celebrating their own sort of WWII victory. This time without the military equipment because of.. reasons, but with a threat by their foreign minister, that ghastly creature, warning Europe to not sabotage their parade by "walking in Hitler's path".

Up or down

Two nights ago I woke up at midnight from a nightmare. I was tired and collapsed into bed unusually early, and it appears like my brain had a lot to go through because it started conjuring a different reality fairly quickly.

Over an old phone line

"Ten years ago, my uncle didn't want to have an internet connection installed because - as he put it back then - it's not worth it for the time he has left. Ten years ago! My cousin got him a subscription now. Can you imagine?"

Click clack

Mum has had this old, huge mechanic Seiko Corona clock for ages. I don't remember a time of this thing not being around, or rather - the sound of it, which makes me think that she must have bought it in Libya in the late 70s. Whenever I called her throughout the years and she'd be in bed or close by, I'd hear the clock and it transported me immediately back home.
